So far, it's been a great weekend!  Tim, the boys and I went to the KC Royals Fan Fest at the Overland Park  Convention Center on Friday.  We arrived right at opening time, 4 PM.  William loved fielding balls back in the field area.  I think he spent about two hours fielding balls that were  hit by other kids at Fan Fest. 

Jack and I ventured out on our own and had a blast.  We spent a lot of time with Slugger, who seemed to be following else or just happened to be working the crowd really well.  I'm guessing several thousand people were there. Tim said today's estimate was 4,000 for last night, which is what they expected for the both days.

I was able to see John Buck, the catcher.  A few months back  I sat with John at a charity lunch put on by Mike Sweeney's wife.  John remembered me

Jack and I were able to get some photos with a few other starters, and the guys were awesome.  Jack really liked Tony Pena, Jr, and let him hold him.  Do I really look old enough to be his mother? Cause I am!

 


Jack and I got to see Brian Bannister. Brian just switched his uniform number this year like Alex Gordon did.  Brian said that when a player gets good, they let them have their number, lol.  Which means they are well in to a 7 figure paycheck, lol 


Once again, do I look old enough to be his mother? lol
