Visit to New Mexico in August

A few weeks ago I flew back to Las Cruces with Dad.  Stayed with Jane Ann & Dave and we had a good time.  Saturday night was the Southern New Mexico Community Foundation Gala.  Before the gala at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum, there were different dinner parties across town sponsored by different people.  We attended the dinner hosted by John and Ruth Christopher. John is the GM of Comcast and Ruth is CFO of Citizen's Bank.  The dinner was at the Double  Eagle, which made it feel more like home to me.  We sat with Tom and Jerean Hutchinson, John and Ruth and Dave, Jane Ann & me.  We laughed the entire time.  The Las Cruces Sun News was there and took a picture of Dave, Jane Ann & me which appeared on the online photo gallery of the newspaper.  Of course, there would happen to be 14 wine glasses in front of us. lol  They served a different wine with the four course dinner.

Here is the picture that was online:

Here is a picture of me, Leah Camunez Salas and Jane Ann when we were at the museum:
I managed to get in a few business meetings that were successful. It was good to get back to my hometown.  It's also good to get back home to my own family.

I connected with my neighbor on Horseshoe Circle in Las Cruces through Facebook today. Her in laws were the ones that bought our home in Cruces.  We really miss the layout of the house. It was perfect for the boys and Toby.  She is doing good and it's a shame that we didn't get to know each other better before moving.

Had a chance to spend some time with an old friend, and that was fun.  Saw Denise for a few minutes at her store, had a shot of Patron at Double Eagle and visited with John and Wyn Ritter, and barely made my plane home on time.  Go figure, me running late.
