Jacquelyn McCutcheon Richards
(February 3, 1934 - July 7, 2007)

Jacquelyn McCutcheon Richards, 73, of Las Cruces, died Saturday July 7, 2007. She was born February 3, 1934 in Pecos, Texas to Jack and Ruth McCutcheon. She had earned a B.S. Degree from Sul Ross State University. Jacquelyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and sister whose passion in life was for her family. She also was in a club made up of her friends who called themselves the Hobby Club. She will be forever missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Stephen T. “Bud” Richards of the family home; son Stephen Richards III and wife Terry of Las Cruces; daughters Jane Ann Day and husband David of Las Cruces and Carol Jean Evans and husband Tim of Overland Park, Kansas; sister Jane McCutcheon of El Paso, TX; grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Taylor, Alexandra, Tom, William and Jack and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents preceded Jacquelyn in death.

Memorial Services to celebrate Jacquelyn’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday July 10, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home with Dr. Gorton Smith of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Byrd, Bill Moore, Lamar Gwaltney, Larry Pickett, Delmon Hodges, Willis McCutcheon, Beau Duncan, Wallace Henderson and Kevin McGrath.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico 301 S. Church St. Ste. H, Las Cruces, NM 88001.

Uncle Bud, Janeann, Steve and Caroljean Your Mother had the biggest heart and best hugs a niece could never forget. My last visit with her in Potosi about 4 years ago, was nothing but a great conversation and laughter and advice. Aunt Jackie will be missed! I love you and hope we get together soon!
