Christmas 2008
Merry Christmas!!!
We started off our celebration on December 23 with an Open House for the family at our home on Century Lane. It was bitter sweet because Taylor could not be with us as she was in New Mexico. We had lots of love and conversation with Susan, Paul, Garrett, Joliana, Ryan, Julie, Kevin, Kelsey, Kristin, Evan, Elizabeth, Eion, Bill, Karen, Carrie, Eric, Alex, Tommy, neighbors Denny and Jamie, and my friend Deanna. We ate casually, from the kitchen counter, a wonderful cut of sirloin roast from my friends at Arrowhead Speciality Meats; John and Elaine Telge. Again, we choose the Pedmontese beef. Lots of wine was drank and conversations were great.
Christmas Eve, we hung out around the house and I ran a few errands. We met Larry and Gayle at Community Christian Church, which is a church designed by the world renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. I have to admit, he is a better home designer than church designer. The acoustics are fabulous though. It was a children's service and was beautiful. You can see the church at their website, http://www.community-christian.org/flwright.htm
We came home afterwards and had a difficult time getting the boys to stay in bed. They were so excited for Santa to come.
Christmas morning, the boys woke up about 8:30 and ran downstairs before I could put my feet on the floor, much less my contact lens' in my eyes to see. They saw the Wii first and kept screaming "a Wii!" The boys and Tim are playing the Wii still. I crept away to write this and will have to come back to finish in a bit.
