Disclosing Our Souls on the Internet

Do we disclose our personal lives too much today? We have instant messenger, Facebook, Twitter, My Space, Flickr, Digsby, Linked In.........  I just googled my name, Carol Jean Evans and my information came up 9 out of the first 10 responses.  Anyone with an internet connection can access my resume, personal life, relatives, photos, and even a map directing them turn by turn to my house (including pictures of my home).

With just a quick click, I can see the latitude and longitude, as well as feet about sea level of our house.

Recently, I had an experience where someone sent unkind and unnecessary messages to my relatives.  I am not sure of their motive but it was obviously to cause pain.  People can take 10% of the truth and twist it to where they want it. What is sad is that people believe what they read. Why?  Why don't people come to the person and ask for themselves. I have had one person come to me and tell me. I suppose it shows that even though we lay out our heart & soul to others; people like to hear the gossip and choose to believe that over real people and the truth.

I have a lot  more to say about this, and will finish this at another time. I have a lot on my mind and it's starting to scatter.  I know I miss my Taylor and my mom right now.  Blessings to all
